HORSTMANN angle converters enable right-angled infeed and discharge of the conveyed material in connection with the driven HORSTMANN idler roller conveyor RBA and the HORSTMANN idler chain conveyor KF. By raising or lowering the conveyed material by means of an eccentric stroke, the difference in level between the roller conveyor and the suspension chain conveyor is compensated. The unit is used for horizontal conveying of pallets, wire mesh boxes or unit loads with 90° angular offset within complex systems, e.g. in picking areas and storage pre-zones.

The angle converter is designed for a total load of 1,200 kg and for a temperature range of ±0 °C to +45 °C. Use in the deep-freeze range down to -35 °C is possible with the selection of suitable components and lubricants.

The angular transfer unit consists of an eccentric lifting gear, an RBA idler roller conveyor and a KF suspension chain conveyor. Either the idler roller conveyor (type WUR) or the suspension chain conveyor (type WUK) can be raised or lowered. The eccentric hoist consists of a welded U-profile frame which supports two eccentric shafts connected by roller chains and mounted in pedestal bearings. The stroke is guided by steel pins and wear-resistant plastic bushings.

The drive is provided by an SEW gearmotor (other makes available on request)

The angle converters can be equipped with the appropriate sensor technology (light barriers, initiators, etc. incl. stable and adjustable sensor holders).

A design for higher weights and special transport pallets is possible.
