HORSTMANN sliding belt conveyors type PA are mainly used for the transport of heavy materials such as construction waste, paper, cardboard and similar heavy recyclables, where an even distribution on the conveyor belt and an excellent sealing towards the side rail are important. Therefore, this conveyor is often used in paper processing plants.

The very stable, torsion-resistant belt frame is made of folded sheet metal with welded-in cross sections.

Due to this design, this conveyor is also frequently used as a bunker belt in which sorted out recyclable materials are temporarily stored prior to pressing.

The belt is basically worn in a sliding manner and is therefore designed with a polyester fabric layer on the underside. The sliding surface in the upper run is designed horizontally with a slight upturn in the area of the lateral sealing strips.
