HORSTMANN idler conveyors are preferably used for horizontal conveying of pallets, mesh boxes or unit loads within complex systems, e.g. in order picking areas and storage pre-zones. The idler conveyor is designed for a total load of 4,000 kg per drive and for a temperature range of ±0 °C to +45 °C. Use in the deep-freeze range down to -35 °C is possible with the selection of suitable components and lubricants.

The driven idler conveyor can be designed with different roller pitches, depending on the requirements of the material to be conveyed. The idlers are driven acting from roller to roller (positive 180° wrap of the sprockets and slip-free transmission of the drive forces). Thus, exact positioning of the conveyed goods is possible. The idlers have double chain wheels and a lifetime lubricated bearing.

The steel profile shoring is equipped with chain guards and supports with height-adjustable feet. The drive is provided by an SEW gearmotor (other makes available on request)

The idler conveyors can be equipped with the appropriate sensor technology (light barriers, initiators, etc. incl. stable and adjustable sensor holders).

A design for higher weights and special transport pallets is possible.
